MMIG46 TRAINING WEEKEND

Two days of IFR refresher training, practical exercises, avionics sessions, fire-safety training, proficiency checks and personal exchange in the modern RAS seminar facilities.

Friday, 25 September

  1. Fire-extinguishing exercises

    Practical fire-extinguishing exercises with the airport fire brigade in small groups.

  2. Seaplane Flying in Germany

    Presentation by Norbert Klippel.

  3. Transfer to Landgut Ramshof

    Transfer to Landgut Ramshof followed by a group dinner.

    Personal contribution: Drinks ordered during the group dinner must be paid for individually by the participants.

PROGRAMME

Saturday, 26 September

  1. Presentations

    IFR refresher training, IFR meteorology presented by Frank Lumnitzer (Senior Aviation Executive) , current developments in avionics and specialised retrofit solutions for PA46 aircraft.

    Personal consultation on Garmin systems will be provided by Fabian Kienzle. The team of speakers and experts will also include Dr Ralf Wendt.

  2. Hands-on training

    Practical training in participants’ own aircraft with some of the best instructors in the German-speaking aviation community, including individual exercises and training sequences.

  3. Simulator training

    Training on a modern ALSIM simulator, FNTP approved, at MG-Flyers.

  4. Proficiency checks and Garmin consultation

    IFR or SET proficiency check flights may be arranged. Personal advice on Garmin avionics will be provided by Fabian Kienzle.

A limited room allocation has been arranged for MMIG46 participants. A double room is available for EUR 110 for one night.

ADDITIONAL PROGRAMME

RAS career event

RAS will also hold a career event at EDLN during the same weekend to attract new apprentices and trainees. The event is expected to include an opportunity to visit hangars and operational areas.

The exact integration into the MMIG46 programme will depend on the final schedule of the RAS event.

Guided tour of Kempen’s historic old town

A joint tour of Kempen’s historic old town is planned for accompanying persons, guests and interested female participants.

Subject to demand and sufficient interest.
